Activities in Guernsey
Guernsey may be small but there’s no shortage of things to do on this enchanting island.
Guernsey offers enough walking routes to last a lifetime. Some come with qualified guides, to uncover the secrets of the islands’ intriguing past, or alternatively, just grab a map and head off yourself.
Another perfect way to explore the island is on two wheels. Guernsey has a network of lanes, known as Ruettes Tranquilles, which give priority to cyclists as well as walkers and horse riders.
With an environment that’s as conducive to outdoor pursuits as ours, it’s not surprising that a range of sporting and other activities is available on the island, including cycling, diving, angling and sailing. Guernsey’s west coast can also provide excellent surfing and windsurfing conditions. And nature lovers are in for a treat with plenty of bird watching opportunities thanks to the flocks of resting migrants. However you decide to spend your time on the island, one thing’s for sure – you’ll want to come back for more.
PTGH wish to thank Guernsey Tourism for their help in providing some of the above information.
